Three reasons I attend Mass every Sunday
1. To honor, glorify, and give thanks to God
Psalm 150:6 "Let everything that has breath give praise to the Lord! Hallelujah!"
Exodus 20:8 "Remember to keep holy the Sabbath."
Matthew 22:37-38 "You shall love the Lord your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the greatest and the first commandment."
2. To be reminded of Christ's sacrifice on the cross for my sins, offer a penitent heart, and to become one with Him through Holy Communion
Isaiah 53:4-5 "Yet it was our infirmities that He bore, our sufferings that He endured...But He was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins."
Luke 18:13 "O God be merciful to me a sinner."
John 6:34 "Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life and I will raise him on the last day."
3. To go forth after Mass renewed in my faith and zeal, proclaiming the Good News by my actions, attitude and words toward my neighbors
Mark 16:15 "Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel."
Romans 12:11 "Do not grow slack in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord."
1 Corinthians 16:13-13 "Be on your guard, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Your every act should be done with love."

Biblical Consequences of Our Life's Work
Faith, Works, Consequences
Matthew 5:48 “So be perfect just as your Heavenly Father is perfect.”
Matthew 6:15 “But if you do not forgive
others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.”
Matthew 7:2 “For as you judge, so will you be judged,
and
the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.”
Matthew 7:13-14, 21 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the
gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter
it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life.
And those who find it are few. Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will
enter the kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in
Heaven.”
Matthew 12:36-37 “I tell you, on the day of
judgment, people will render an account for every careless word they speak. By

Jesus.”

judgment seat of God…. Every one of us will have to give an account of himself
before God.”
1 Corinthians 3:13-15 “…the work of each will come to light,
for the Day will disclose it. It will be revealed by fire, and the fire will

the person will be saved, but only as through fire.”

Hebrews 10:36 "You need to persevere so that when
you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised."
James 1:26 “For just as a body without a spirit is dead, so also
faith without works is dead.”
James 3:13 “Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show his
works by a good life in the humility that comes from wisdom.”

the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Let them find rest from their labors for their works accompany
them.’”
Revelation 21:27 “But nothing unclean will
enter it…(the new Jerusalem Heaven).”
