How's Your Attitude?

From: The Word For Today - Bob Gass Ministries

Psalm 34:1 "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall ever be in my mouth."

This may shock you, but I believe the most important decision we make on a day-to-day basis - is our choice of an attitude! It either keeps us moving ahead or cripples our progress. It fuels our fire or assaults our hope. When our attitude is right there's no barrier too high, no valley too deep, no dream too extreme and no challenge too great. Yet we spend more time worrying over things that can't be changed, than we do giving attention to the one thing that can - our attitude.
Did you know that:

(1) Gratitude is an attitude? David said, "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall ever be in my mouth." It wasn't an impulse or a reaction to some circumstance, it was a choice he made!

(2) Love is an attitude. Solomon writes, "Love covers all transgressions" (Proverbs 10:12). Love says, "I accept you as you are, care when you hurt, desire only what's best for you and erase all offences." It refuses to look for ways to run, instead it opts for working things through. It's fibrous and resilient. While the world around gives the opposite counsel, love stands firm.

(3) Trust is an attitude. Listen, "The Lord's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in Him" (Psalm 32:10). Instead of trying to take control, or rolling up our mental sleeves and slugging it out, trust hands it all over to God, confident that He'll sort it out. Today, work on your attitude!
