Open To New Ideas

Proverbs 18:15 "The intelligent man is always open to new ideas. In fact he looks for them."

One idea can change everything. Edison had one, and the world lit up. Bill Gates had one too, but when he went looking for investors, some of his big-money friends called his idea 'too risky'. Can you imagine how they feel now?

Good ideas are great. God ideas are even better! You see, what God initiates, He backs up with the resources of heaven. Paul said, "My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches" (Philippians 4:19). According to what? Imagine being empowered by God, and financed by The Bank of Heaven!

God's problem has never been a lack of ideas; it's finding people who'll leave their comfort zone and act on them - people like Abraham, who; "By faith… when called to go… went, even though he did not know where he was going." (Hebrews 11:8). And how did he end up? He was told, "All the families of the earth will be blessed through you" (Genesis 28:14).

Usually God gives us His ideas when (a) all of ours have failed, (b) we've laid aside our pre-conditions, and we're willing to do whatever He says, including being misunderstood by others, (c) we're willing to risk, and (d) we're committed to giving Him all the glory.

Think what one of God's ideas could do for your business this year! Or your ministry! Or your family! Listen, "What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that will I do" (Isaiah 46:11). God's already spoken certain things over your life. As you enter this year, seek Him and He'll reveal them to you.
