Psalm 23:1 "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want."
A Sunday School teacher decided to have her young class memorize one of the most quoted passages in the Bible - Psalm 23. She gave the youngsters a month to learn the chapter.
Little Rick, a very bright boy, was excited about the task. However, he had a terrible time with memorization. He worked and worked, but he just could not memorize the whole Psalm. The day came that he and others were going to have to stand up and recite it. Others got up and struggled, but they got through the Psalm.
Little Rick wanted to say, "I can’t do it," but finally he had a thought and he went up to the microphone. With obvious anxiety in his voice he said, "The Lord is my Shepherd...and that’s all you need to know!" And he sat down.
