In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson tells us that all men are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights: “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” One thing’s for sure, Americans have been pursuing happiness ever since and with a passion!
Happiness is a by-product of being in God’s will and making the most of your gifts and talents. However, the pursuit of happiness solely for one's own sake, never leads to happiness.
Instead develop the gifts and abilities He’s given you for His glory and for service to your fellow man. In the process, you may discover happiness. But pursuing happiness, well, you’ll never find it that way. Pursue God in Christ and happiness results.
