Philippians 4:7 "The peace
of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your
minds in Christ Jesus."
In order to experience the peace of God, we first must have peace with God—which comes as the result of a complete surrender to Christ as our Lord and Savior. Once we are saved, God's peace is available to us. Sadly, many people are in a position to have everything they could possibly want in this world, but they still do not have a sense of peace.
Before His death, Jesus comforted His disciples with these words: "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27) We, too, can find the peace and comfort we need within His eternal care.
