From: Ambassadors For Christ
International - John North
Matthew 4:4 "...It is written, 'One does not
live by bread alone, but by every Word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
The Bible is like food for your spiritual life! If you were to stop eating physical food, your body would not last very long (some estimate 4 to 6 weeks, on average). If you were to eat just once a week, your body would be in very bad shape from being starved of essential nutrients. You need to keep on eating regularly, every day.
God knows that your spiritual health is just as dependent on regular feeding. You need good spiritual nutrition in order to grow! And so God has set your spiritual table with wonderful food—the best you could imagine. There is encouragement, hope, revelation, instruction, advice, challenge, insight, counsel, values, and testimony—everything you need for a well-rounded spiritual meal.
Don’t neglect your spiritual food today. Take time reading God’s Word, thinking about it, meditating on it, and responding to His voice in your heart.
